Best DPS class in the game?

in reality the classes are close enough the best player will be the best DPS. They are all capable of being number 1 under the right conditions.

Quite frankly, this discussion is moot. Play your class well, and you can out damage 90% of the player base.

I can already pull aggro from tanks whenever I want... why do I want more damage?

Bad tank is bad then if you can pull off of them whenever you want. Or you're lying. Maybe both. You should always want more dps though, provided you can safely do so.
