Preorder Code tips/trick/info.

(there is a limitation on posts, so I'll try to stay up to date on the subject as much as I can in this post.)

For those of you receiving errors:

Go to the corresponding website, to your accounts region.
http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ for North American accounts
or
http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/ for UK players.
Some UK players suggest the following link instead;
http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/gb

For various reason, it's strongly suggested you use Internet Explorer(I found no difference in which browser you use.) A lot of people suggest you hit Ctrl+Shift+del to erase cookies, cashe etc.

Once on the page, sign in, before you select anything else.

Then, go to the drop down menu, and select "Settings"

Under settings, pick which country you are from, and save.
Then at the bottom right, should be an icon to pick your preferred language.
Choose the correct one again.

Then go back to the preorder page.

Login.

Then refresh the page.

Select your language.

Refresh the page (Some ppl dont need to do this.)

Are you still logged in?
If not, refresh the page.

Once the refresh keeps you logged in, place your mouse over the SQUARE-ENIX link at the upper left.

Does it say its an eu or na link? If its wrong, refresh the page.

Now put in your code.
If you get an error, refresh the page, and you will notice it logged you out.

Log in, refresh the page, until it saves your login info.

Put the code in again (quickly) and it should work.


IF YOU SELECT PS3 CODES.

There is currently no fix, if you receive a UK code.

It's up to chance at the moment.

You will know its a UK code, if the PSN says the code is no longer valid.

QUESTIONS ASKED SO FAR

*How do we know our accounts are linked?

For the most part, we dont know for a 100% sure.

But the only way to check, is to log into your FFXIV SE account page, and at the upper right, click on the SE page. It should take you to the SE store, and have you still logged in.

EDIT: The moment you log into your PS3 client, it asks if you want to link.
You should have already done this in phase4.

*When do we get our CD registration Keys?

There is no announcement, but some people have suggested we will have them by the 27th.
Either from the boxes being shipped to us, or from emails. (I'll fix this later, if this is incorrect.)
Which under profile, shows the games you registered. (All CE items can not be registered until launch.)

*How do I make sure I have Early Access on my PS3 account?

It would probably be a good idea to add how PS3 players can confirm that they have Early Access instated on their SEN (PSN) accounts.

Click on 'Account Management' on the PlayStation Network tab on the Xross Media Bar.
Then, click on 'Transaction Management'.
Then, click on 'Service List'.
Then, click on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

The user should see "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Early Access" listed there.

*What about Legacy characters, where do I get my code?

From what some are saying, you don't need a code, you just log into your client, and you're good to go.

You should be fine for Saturday. When you can download the client from the PSN store it says " Early access etc".

I'm surprised there hasn't been an official announcement about how changing your language preference in your profile allows you to redeem your preorder key.

Got my code by email this morning and registered at the page that was linked in the same email, went off without a hitch.
Wasn't too worried about EA as I am a legacy member. (yeah... I know, I'm a sucker for collectables :P)

Bought the PC pre from the European SE shop.
