[DEV] Interface options A & B

Both options would be available to PS3 and PC. You can play with a controller on PC so you may chose the PS3 UI and on PS3 if you can add a mouse/keyboard then you may chose a PC UI.

It all depends on the play style. PS3 users would use more macros then PC users do with their UI. That's how i see it.

It's a bad idea from the beginning for whoever want to play MMO with console or gamepad...

Wow, guess I'm full of bad ideas then. I've used a gamepad since the beginning with minimal problems. Honestly for a while it beat the pants off of mouse/keyboard.

i play FFXI with keyboard and mouse for 5+years when i got a controller for my pc i never look back. It going cost 16-19$ to buy a PC controller if players hate the keyboard / mouse layout then buy a controller.

wow you want "Screw that just give us regional servers already !" and Separate servers for ps3 and pc? so pretty much it would cut down the game by more then 50% and you pretty much have 2worlds for NA one for PC and one for ps3 lol

Well other games do it just fine, I can't help it if SE suck at making games dude lol

I've also used a game pad since day 1 (played ffxi with one for years as well); had little to no issues; other than the targeting system; which is beyond all help at the moment.

Lets not fool ourselves here, their main audience are MMO players not Final Fantasy Players, because this game is anything but Final Fantasy, and most "single player gamers" recoil at the words MMO or pay to play.

And you can see that this is quickly becoming a "well I play with controller and I'm fine, so screw everyone else" thread.

Hey you know you should use a car instead of a horse, it's way faster as you can stay dry in the rain, and all sort of stuff....

But, you can get from Austin to Dallas in like three hours with a car.....

I am teasing, I agree players should be able to use what is most comfortable for them if it's feasible, but if I was a buinsess making games, I'd hedge my bet spend the money on the controller audience, it's a safer bet.

If I had the time and money to do both well, I'd go for it.

I know there are some ppl out there that really love VHS tapes, and VCR's too.....but I would not start a business making products for them.
