Retail: ffxivboot.exe crash on start EU version

I'm having the same problem and I suspect it's my video drivers as well. How do I find updates for them or know which drivers specifically to look for?

There's your video card. Hit up the AMD website and download the latest drivers for an ATI Radeon 5700. I believe they are called "Catalyst" drivers or some such for ATI cards. Make sure to get the x64bit version.

I didn't read everything so it might have been posted, but try closing other apps, including things running in the tray. I've found that having afterburner and mumble running at the same time on my pc will cause ffxivboot to crash on startup.

Your CPU is barely cutting it, you have below required memory installed, and the video card is way below the minimum requirements.

Going off what Loth said, your video driver is also 7 years old.

There may be more recent drivers.. but most likely your video card is not capable of running FFXIV. Your other components aren't the immediate issue.. but they aren't great either.

If you want to play FFXIV on the PC, you'll probably want to invest in a new desktop. Or wait for the Ps3 version.
