Square Enix Website Confusion!!

I need some help navigating Square Enix's websites! My brother went online and pre-ordered ff14 ARR through the Square Enix website, but then ran into issues downloading the installer and was also having issues registering his code.

So, I figured I would log on to my account to see if I could help him. Well, went to the Square Enix website, entered my log in info (without authenticator key), and it started asking me for profile information... stuff that I should have filled out all before... So I fill it out again and proceed to my profile (website looks completely different then last time I used it) and it shows that I have no games registered. I am like... ok wtf... so I log out, come to FF14 Lodestone website and try to access my account through here. It takes me through a different log in page, same user name and password but this time I need my authenticator code. Brings me to the page I am used to seeing, even shows the games that I have registered to my account.

Now from this website, I click the Square Enix link in the top right corner and it brings me back to the first website, shows that I have no games registered. I am so confused... Why are there two different websites for the same company and why does one site show that I have games and the other does not?

Also, I can not seem to find any information from either web site as to where to download the FF14 installer.. I am assuming I will not be able to download until closer to release, but just to save me some stress and headache later on, where should I go to download the game once release day hits?

Any help would be appreciated!

Square Enix Members and Square Enix Account Management are two separate things. SE Members is for all their games library, and the "no games registered" has to do with those little red and white slips of paper that come in all SE games, the ones that come with a code you can redeem for points.

SE Account Management is for XI and XIV accounts where you can manage your subs, redeem XI or XIV codes, etc. The correct link you want is here.

Aside from that, you can't register any codes right now, so sit tight and keep watching the Lodestone for announcements. We will be able to register the pre-order codes on the 20th.

No prob. It can be quite confusing haha. Just remember to use the link I provided you for anything related to your XIV account. SE Members is something you don't need, unless you like redeeming codes for the console games and later redeeming them for prizes.

As for redeeming the pre-order early access code, you can bookmark this page as well http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/us and come back on the 20th to input the code. From there it'll let you download the software early so you can play early.

with a 4 day turnaround on customer support its not uncommon for people to have multiple accounts(like me), and enter your Beta codes on the wrong account(like me), You're gonna have to make sure you have all of your shit set up properly on the right account. get them on the phone to walk you through it if you have to.
