Standard Edition Item Add-On for CE People

Hello everyone!

Just had an idea that hit me. They are adding a feature where people who bought the standard edition can upgrade their standard edition to the digital collectors edition. "Collector's Edition digital upgrade."

So.....my idea is this. For those of us that have the 1.0 CE or those new players who are buying the ARR CE, why not add a feature for say, $5.99-$9.99, to obtain the standard edition in game items? (Also, if the CE's get those items already and I just don't know this, please tell me.)

I know personally that I would probably do this over buying another physical/digital copy -just- to get the in game items that are for the standard edition.

So, what do you guys think? Good idea or a bust?

Ya, like you can do a Standard Edition Item Add-In for the Cait Sith Doll and Mog Cap. As far as I know, the CE's don't come with this.

The cait sith doll and mog cap are a promotional items giving to people who pre-order the game. This is why it's not added to the CE upgrade for 19.99$

No, that's not what I mean. I know it's not being added to the CE Upgrade, what I meant was, similar to how the CE digital upgrade would net you the CE items if you own/purchased the standard edition, why not add an option for those of us that have the CE (rather it be 1.0 / ARR versions) to "add" the standard edition items for a small price?

New CEs do. That's why a lot of folk with 1.0 accounts have pre-ordered the PS3 CE, despite not really intending to play on PS3. This way, we get all the benefits of the 1.0 account, plus pre-order stuff, plus 2.0 CE stuff and added access from a PS3 (and one hopes a PS4, if Yoshi-P's hints are to be taken optimistically...) should we ever need to use it.

The SE doesn't come with any Items (apart from Pre-order items. i.e. Cait Sith, Mog cap, early access), unlike 1.0 which came with Garlean goggles(?)

CE Comes with everything SE has and more.

There are no standard edition items. You only get Mog Cap & Cait Sith Doll Minion if you pre-order. Even Legacy CE owners that automatically get ARR CE items and Early Access don't get them.

I kind of like the idea of limited-availability items. Nothing powerful, probably, but just something to show that you play on a particular platform, or attended some fan event, bought some Blu-ray soundtrack, etc.

Lol nah I don't wanna play Pokemon........I just really liked the Cait Sith is all. =D. Ah well, it was a .......decent?......idea maybe?

But, I see what you mean now. Either copy has the "preorder" bonus on it, I misread. *looks for glasses* Lol

It's a nice idea, but SE's system is set up kind of "oddly". Maybe it makes sense in the big picture, but it has caused a lot of people to order a full version of the game they don't need just to get that pre-order code, so they can get 3 days of Early Access, and/or in-game items.

So, crazy but true: You can get that cait sith doll minion for ~US$30 if you really want it. (Just make sure the company you buy it from is offering pre-order bonuses.)
