Question about Legacy

If we have a legacy account do we not get 2.0 for free or do we have to buy the game again? I tried to register my copy of 1.0 and Square's website will not allow me to. Are we going to be emailed our own code for the game? Also, where do we download the actual client? I want the game on my computer so that the day it launches I can play.

Hi, Dissolution!

All 1.0 players (whether you have legacy status or not) get a free download of A Realm Reborn. You already bought it once, you don't need to buy it again.

If you have access to the beta forums, you can now download the launcher here. This will be used for both the open beta client and launch.

As for not being able to register your copy of 1.0... I'm a little confused? Are you trying to register a second copy of the game to your account? Your registration code you used when you first started the game is all you need.

As for my physical copy of 1.0 I am unable to register it. When I log into my account for this game it asks me to register the game, and when I try and type in the serial number it does not accept it. Essentially it says I don't own any games from Square at all.

I guess it is not a big deal I was just curious.

Silly question, but are you looking at your Square Enix Account Management page or the Square Enix Members profile page? Because I think the SE Members site is jacked up at the moment. I tried to register my copy of FFXIII-2, and the serial number isn't even an acceptable number sequence. I've submitted two tickets to SE support about the SE Members site, and one came back saying the site is 'under maintenance' and I just have to be patient.

I think you need to wait till the official ARR service is started (near launch) before you can register your code. But, that's in case you haven't registered your 1.0 copy back when 1.0 was still online. If you've registered during that period, just downloading the client from the beta forums should suffice.

If you don't have access to the beta forums yet, please wait till the 4th Beta Phase is about to start and check your mail regularly for a Beta Key (if you need one), including your spam mail box. If by that time you still don't have access to the beta forums (and thus the launcher), please contact the SE ARR Support.

Once you get the launcher downloaded, run it and click on the account icon on the bottom. That should take you to the right place. Good luck!
