I haven't really looked inside the beta forums nor have I used these original ones much either.

However, I hope the community friendliness and support stays. I'd prefer not to see any ego wars and trolling on here by the new wave of players - but it's generally inevitable haha. Hopefully the SE moderators on here will be on top of the negative users on here when the time comes though.

Yeah, it'll be a shame but I'm willing to sacrifice in hope of a better forum. One that links very nicely to our Lodestone blogs. A forum we can customize the color scheme and spend more time with non-productiveness between post & likes! I mean, what better way to kill time pre-BETA/ post-BETA...

I think keep both forums, and add and IQ test for these and the beta forums, and keep all the stupid people on the beta forums. (It won't change much)

So a almost whole week of downtime starting Friday morning, both forums.*
Will legacy merge with beta? or vice versa? or both into a forums reborn?
Will SE archive legacy? archive beta? *shudder*

The post *over there* says that the B forums will be closing and asks everyone to come and post here with a link to this forum.

Though I reckon they'll update the GUI so it looks like the new Lodestone we got to Beta last month (hence the use of the word 'renew').

So all B forum posts and users will be deleted into oblivion where they belong!

In all seriousness, I look forward to welcoming the vast influx of new players into these forums which have been virtually untouched by new folk since the Beta began.

Aww, the beta forum game is closing? Meh you could tell even the hardcore trolls were kinda giving up on it. Not enough content, and too much copy-paste threads apparently.
Not to mention the 10 min between posts fatigue system...about time the dev gave us ffxiv: afr.

Buried at the bottom of another long page of info about another topic, was the note that the beta forums wouldn't be closing along with these. So... beta forums will continue for a while longer. Only here will be dark until Thursday.
