    Merging forums would cause clutter, there's no missing old threads when launch happens. It'll be better to start off with a clean slate.

    Beta forums may need to go just because of all the content still under NDA. SE can archive or even remove posts here, but I hope they can keep the accounts (and upgrade the forum software).
    It would be nice to keep our post count and rank. Maybe even a "Legacy Mark" for all the v1 avatars?

    I didn't post much but I did lurk a lot. I'm gonna miss how it is now. The forums will be going straight to the gutter when the new wave hit. An unfortunate price to pay for improving the community population. Even after beta is over and everyone left are paying subscribers it'll still be bad, very bad. At least the ingame community will persevere.

    I don't really care about the post count, it's just a number. Especially since it has no correlation with post quality.
