There's one thing I remember... Weren't there screenshots of the dev team fighting Titan and you could see someone falling off the pillar?
Now I am kind of afraid... I bet silly me will fall down first T///T

Ok, i'm going to ask a silly question, but i want to be prepared before i set off to Germany next week and i've never been to big events like the Gamescom before... So here i go...
Are there any cafeteria's at the convention, or at least vending machines where you can get a cold drink? I want to bring a "coolbag" to keep drinks and such cooled. I just want to be sure that i won't be stopped at the entrance because i brought along a "coolbag" with something to drink in it. It would be... Rather awkward, if you catch my drift... (^_^; )

Thought of it too... Can't remember how it was last time but I've got the strange feeling that the prices will be ridiculously (dunno if spelt right, sorry.) high at a cafeteria and such v.v"
In '10 there were kiosks that sold bottles of soft drinks (standard 500ml Coca Cola, etc.). They weren't overpriced, coming from a UK perspective. The restaurant/barbecue marquee on the roof was more expensive than a McD's, but still didn't break the bank. There was a huge hall of food stalls (downstairs iirc) sellling various things in trays pretty cheap if you weren't too picky about what you ate.Ok, i'm going to ask a silly question, but i want to be prepared before i set off to Germany next week and i've never been to big events like the Gamescom before... I don't recall a bag search. I do recall that lugging my laptop around in my rucksack all day every day was a pain in the arse, but I was on business so it was needed. If I go again (if I can find my passport...), it would be with minimum carries!
Thanks! That was basically the info i was looking for. (^_^ )-bIn '10 there were kiosks that sold bottles of soft drinks (standard 500ml Coca Cola, etc.). I wasn't planning on bringing a whole picnic basket stuffed with food and drinks, but i do like to bring at least 1 little bottle of water and perhaps a little sandwich to manage till noon. (^_~ )

I FOUND MY PASSPORT!
Looking like I'll be arriving Thursday morning at Dusseldorf airport and going back on Friday night. I've looked online to try and find prices for train/taxi each way, but failing. Anyone local to the area know how much that'd cost?!
On to finding somewhere to stay!
Anyway, looking forward to meeting y'all (I will find you!) and getting some photos taken/things signed from my friends here in the forum.![]()
when you carry 1-2 bottles in your bag/backpack they dont say anything.
But a cooling box... idk... never tried >_>
Places to get food and drinks:
at the outdoor areas (that means the spots between the halls. you can stay in the hall to get to the other halls because they are connected but you can also go straight through the outdoorarea) are many little shops with making fresh food. some asian where you can buy fried noodles and stuff and some international snack bars for pizza/burger/fries.
they are all also selling drinks and the most of them coming from a fridge.
In one of the halls is also a coffeeshop (no! not that kind of coffeeshop!) where you can buy some coffee/tea.
In every hall is also a stall selling drinks.
In the Cosplay Village they will probably sell again bubble tea.
Hope that helped you ^^
