Sorry, Can anyone anwser a few questions?

Well with the relaunch about a month away was wondering if anyone would be nice enough to clear a few questions I have up. For some reason beta3 launcher would just error out when downloading so i gave up there. Anyways~

1:My Server became a JP legacy server, all tho I don't mind JP players. I don't wanna get stuck with few NA players or the JP players get into the mind set of "JP only", Will I be able to server transfer @phase4 or @relaunch?

2:Well only having about 2months of game play in 1.0, Can I just start over on a different server(new server [non legacy]) and still obtain CE items? Or will CE items only be available to Legacy Characters(When I bought XIV 1.0 it was the CE edition)?

Those are the only 2 real questions that really concern me atm. All tho I have a few more these 2 while looking around I seem to get alot of mixed answers, and just wondering if someone that's been following the blogs etc could clears these up for me.

• 1. You just missed the before-Phase 4 Transfer, sorry. =[ You'll have to wait maybe 6 months for SE to open up world transfers and probably have to pay real money for it.
• 2. CE Items are tied to your account, unlike say Goobbue Horn which is tied to your character who obtained it from the Wandering Minstrel. So as long as you have the CE stuff applied to your account, any character you make will obtain it from the Moogle.

For the extra bonus question, next time if your downloader stuck/show download/ error, you can try;
- Close downloader in proper way. Then restart. It seems can fix some ppl's download speed too slow problem.
- Locate your patch files @ /my game/ff14/download/patch/weird number and letters folder/ it's inside one of them
Find these H2013.07.02 files and copy them outside. Delete some maybe corrupted patch files then restart downloader. This will fix some stuck/corrupted problem for downloader. the corrupted one is usually the one you are downloading but r0. If you are not sure which one is broken, remove them all, and replace them one by one...replace, start downloader, close it, add next file. But

There are also some other language system problem, but it will only happen if you have japanese version of installer, sometimes...

Thank you, Seems I'll just reroll a new character on a different server then. I'm in it for the grind anyways, lol. All tho i do have a few 50's and finished main story etc, I'm not to far where I couldn't catch back up in a month.

Thanks for this info also^^. I'm really wanting to play missing xiv so much and watching all the new videos etc is just killing me, heh. Also like to get a pre-boost(if possible on new servers) on phase4. I just couldn't with stand logging in with token etc to get disconnected every ~6min's. After a few hr's of relogging in to start downloading to d/c I just gave up=(.

@@: make sure your ip is static, some internet provider give people floating IP to protect their users, but the software of ff14 doesn't like it. Also, how fast is the downloading speed you are getting? sometimes, maybe it's firewall or anti-virus software that they don't like P2P style which ff14 downloader is using.

I think he gave up, but once there is problem, it might happen again. :O
one of my friend just downloaded the beta 3 software at sunday morning. He's getting 2MB(?)/sec pretty fast sunday morning...
He only poked his router too hard initially so whole internet went down -> file corrupted. That's why I did some search about this similar issue ^^;

2:If i use the same account and make a new character can i pick any server(for the new character)? Or since my other character is on Gungnir will my new character be limited to just Gungnir?

3:I'm just trying to figure out if i want to start over on a non-legacy server, Do i have to rebuy the 2.0version? Or can i just make a new character and be able to pick the server from there. I'm confused as im sure you can tell, lol.

I can handle going without early access(I guess /sigh) I just wanna make sure that i can make a new character on a differant server without having to rebuy ffxiv 2.0.

Eh here we go again.

1. Correct. Unless you pre-order the PC or PS3 standard and add its pre-order code to your v1 (non-legacy status) account, you will not get early access.
2. Yes. Only existing v1 characters are restricted to "legacy servers". New characters can be created on any server that's not full.
3. No need to purchase 2.0 to create a new character on another server. You probably won't even need to delete your v1 character, since even the least expensive subscription plan allows 1 character per server, up to 8 total characters.

4.. Maybe during the Letter LIVE #8 Yoshida will address the issue of v1 players (in all regions) who missed the transfer deadline. My guess is there are a lot of them, and could be many more as they return after launch.

I'm not 100% sure, but you don't need to be Legacy in order to get the early access. I would advise you to read through this thread since questions like that have been asked before and chances are high that a Community Rep has answered them in there.

No, you can select any of the available servers when creating a new character. Only 1.0 characters will stay on the Legacy servers, at least for a while.

I hope so, as well. I have a feeling a lot of 1.0 players who haven't been following the game as closely as us diehard junkies in withdrawal missed the deadline. I think another round of server transfers need to open up again.
