Multiple/All Jobs 50 going into ARR – What city/class will you start on?

I’m a Legacy account holder with multiple level 50 jobs coming into ARR.

My job of choice is CNJ/WHM and my starting city of choice is Gridania. At the end of 1.0 my final save includes max Grand Company rank with Order of the Twin Adder and I am holding the maximum number of seals possible.

I plan to start ARR on my 1.0 character as CNJ because it suits me and my character. If CNJ wasn’t in Gridania, I honestly don’t know what I’d do. Actually, I would start in Gridania. No matter what.

My first priority is to do my CNJ class quests through 15 and then Main Story Quests thru Ifrit so that I can re-join Adder and join/form my FC. That means all that Main Story EXP is going to go onto my CNJ/WHM which is 50. Really, a complete waste of EXP, right?

-I could start in Limsa so that I can open up Arcanist and do my main scenario (at least up through the Ifrit fight) and apply all that EXP to Arcanist (which I do plan to level).

-Or, I could even start as LNC, right in Gridania, and not waste that Main Story EXP since my Lancer is Level 1.

I won’t be doing this, because I’m in a hurry to re-join my GC and then be able to join my FC. As for Arcanist, well I just in no way can bring myself to start in Limsa. Also, I just don't want to slug through quests leveling LNC when I just want to blow thru things on my CNJ to get to this point. Doing that I'd also have to probably do other quests just to be at the necessary levels to continue in the Main Story. When I do it on CNJ, there will be no waiting or having to hit other levels just to continue.

My question here is, what are you guys doing?

• Are you starting in your city of choice and sacrificing the class you would prefer to begin on?
  
• Are you starting on your class of choice even though it isn't in your preferred starting city?
  
• Starting on a new class wherever you have one, just so you don’t waste all that EXP? Will everyone be starting in Limsa as Arcanist? lol
  
• Something else?
  
• Also, do you think I'm nuts for doing it the way I plan to? lol

archer or lancer to lv10. mission to touch main crystal then stop. (Grid to start mostly because I have lots GC token and items locked there. ^^: )

personal chocobo to LL (I tested, even at end of rental chocobo I can reach outside of the harbor going to LL from grid.)
get arcanist, use mission story exp to lv arcanist.

Weaver to get full weaver outfit is immediate task right after arcanist. In fact, it might be my 1st task that I want to complete. Don't know how to get it tho. I tested it, it's very easy to get to lv30 weaver quest. That's part of this personal chocobo trip to LL, need to get goat skin and dodo feather, for weaver and later leather guild quests.

I have everything 50, gonna start in Gridania where my character was born and will forever stay. My Rite of Passage will always remain true.

I have all of my Disciples of War/Magic to level 50, but as much as I'd like to start on ACN, I would never ever eveeerrrr not start in Gridania. I love it way too much and am much too attached to it to start anywhere else! Plus, like you, it suits my character and her story to be starting in Gridania again. I can't imagine her anywhere else. It had such a cool story in 1.0 and I always felt really welcome there because Miounne was always contacting my character on the linkpearl during the starting story and always giving me advice and stuff on where to go/what to do! It always made me feel really involved and it was such a cool experience the first time I played! Compared to the other two city-states in 1.0's starting stories, I think I had the most fun starting in Gridania. And even though I've played through the new story fifty times during these betas, it gets more interesting each time, from finally showing us the full cutscenes in Phase 3 to voice acting in Phase 4! Also because I'm a tried and true Adder and Kan-E-Senna's my homegirl, so I wouldn't ditch her even if someone paid me a million gil.

I'd probably pick CNJ to start since WHM's like my secondary job next to THM and then switch back to THM as soon as I can since the experience from those quests isn't really going anywhere anyways. I'll most likely end up running through the story quests that keep you in Gridania and then maybe see if I can run to Limsa after the level 15 quest, get ACN, make a mad dash out of Limsa (because I have no doubt it's gonna be like so laggy and crowded with everyone and their mom starting on ACN.), and then level ACN to 15 or whatever with the non-story quests and maybe some FATES I missed in Gridania, then continue on with the story so I don't need to be level-synced for everything.

If you really want to level ACN you could probably do the same and try to rush to 15 after you're able to get to Limsa; there are a BUNCH of sidequests to level you up no matter where you are.

ACN if its available, WAR if it isn't since that is one of my few jobs that I have gear for all my slots that isn't AF/GC >.>;;

That'll follow my original path too, I started out in Limsa, but joined Twin Adder ^^

I have all battle and mage at 50 so I'm just going with the city that I want to see their storyline & be from, which of course is Limsa!! best city EVER!

If I were able to be w/e class I would like to start as bard cause I love the job & the way the AF is gonna look on my highlander ^_^ but its not a big deal to me, just want to be in Limsa

Start on MRD and do the class quests till I unlock Armoury then go to Grid and do all the CNJ quests to get the missing abilities

I'm gonna start in Ul'dah because that's the story I want to experience, even though ACN is the only battle class I'll have left, I don't want to wade chin-deep in the piratey storyline of Limsa. I can still run over to Limsa to unlock it, and the ferry is supposed to be at a more reasonable price starting with phase 4.

I can always unlock and experience the arcanist class quests, but we only have one shot at our starting city's early storyline, you don't get to do the quest lines for the other 2 cities unless you make alts.

Gonna start in Ul'dah in Phase 4, then go unlock Arcanist immediately after release.
