Windows & PS3 Theme (plus Lightning!)

Quick instructions for getting the desktop pictures on Macs, FYI:

　1. Download the themepack file.
　　　* The filename is "FINAL FANTASY XIV-A Realm Reborn.themepack".
　2. Download a program called The Unarchiver. More info on its product site.
　3. Drag the themepack file onto The Unarchiver application icon.
　　　* This creates a folder called "FINAL FANTASY XIV-A Realm Reborn".
　4. The desktop images are inside that folder, in the "DesktopBackground" folder.
　　　* The images are 1920x1200 in size (16:10 aspect ratio).

I used 7 zip to open theme file, it works too.

The problem is indeed that there are reference to Japanese files in the theme. Either western operating systems can't read them, or they simply can't find them in your system.

I fixed it real quick. You can grab it here while Square Enix gets around fixing their own file.

OMG thank you! It now appears in my themes and I can select it. How do I switch between background/wallpaper pics though? First Midlander was there, now a Roe ... does it just change like a slide show? Not much happening. I was hoping to just choose one of the images as a wallpaper. What else does it do?

Abriael, I linked your article in the Beta forums too (Reinheart thread). In your article, it says to create a subfolder "THEMES". That actually needs to be "THEME" (singular) or the PS3 won't find it. ^^

It's a slideshow set to change wallpaper every 30 minutes. If you click on "desktop wallpaper" you can customize the time, and uncheck the wallpapers you don't want. If you want only one, just uncheck all the others

Again, thanks! I've deselected the pics to leave the one background on my PC. I don't see a way of doing this on the PS3. No matter - not like I leave the thing on (like PC) or that even when it's on, that I'll have the wallpaper showing

Yeah, I don't think you can change it on the PS3 at all.
