We are all excited for open beta and launch! However, looking ahead, is there a timeline for the first expansion/major patch update? When, if not now, will you all be ready to give us a glimpse of that content?

I am deaf player and fan of Final Fantasy series, I am legacy player and I am very exciting to see much improve in Final Fantasy XIV ARR! I believe in you become success this game. However, It got my attention that you will implement for teamspeak or other program for them to use mic talk over to other player, I felt that it oppressed to Deaf and Hard of Hearing players (community) that they can not hear, therefore the group, party, linkshell may not use insert the text chat box. They will consider us lousy player or noobs, it big concern for me to see their abuse kick out player if they do not have MICS. I was hope that MICS are not Implement in the game. Otherwise do you have anything to offer for us to Deaf and Hard of Hearing community to rest assured from other player being abuse to kick them out due they do not have MICS ?

Just so you know, they said they would NOT implement in game spoken chat but that players were free to pursue their own out of game methods of spoken communication. In game spoken chat requires moderation, which is very difficult without written logs of all that is said, and encouraging players go go with Ventrillo/TeamSpeak/etc takes that responsibility off of SE's shoulders. I too do not use spoken chat so I am very happy that it isn't mandatory (which it would quickly become if every pick up group suddenly had access to such tools by default) ^_^

It has been mentioned that soon after launch in one of the upcoming major patches that a new race(s) will be introduced. Will existing characters be able to change to the new races or will an entirely new character be needed to play on the new race?

Why do so many armor sets feature males wearing pants and females wearing only short skirts (even tanking gear)? Same deal with only female artifact armor having exposed a stomach and only male bard artifact having an undershirt.

Can we have in-game casino that we can either bid on chocobo race or pvp or random 2 nm fight?

Are there any plans to implement Red Mage? or a dual wielding/2 handed sword class? I very much miss my red mage, beastmaster, and dark knight. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see what you guys have in store for the future.
