What's up my fellow casual MMO player! Brofist!
Also, I agree. I feel no attachment to anything in the game except for my LS-mates. But I'm not going to (eventually) pay 15 bucks a month for a glorified chatroom.

This is the only problem SE has to deal with. No one feels any attachment.
First, we need PvE events (dungeons, w/e) that require us to do them regularly for very long periods of time.
Second, we need rewards that make us feel like we earned something (Stamina+ gear, etc) [but SE wont do this until they change the battle system, since Stamina and such might go away, but in the mean time, all of our gear is meaningless since DEF is the only stat on any of it... and no, STR doesnt mean anything]
Third, we need side content to make the grinding of PvE fun (beseiged, golden saucer, Colosseum, etc)
Last, we need disparities between jobs - what makes Fire different from Banish? every WS and every spell is the same but with a different name. The only reason to use one over the other atm is Incapacitation.
