I would like to see T-Boards in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn as an additional transportation method, we have chocobos, we have coeurls, and magiteck armour. Why not a T-Board from Final Fantasy VIII?

They'd have to have the Players ride the T-Boards standing up but stanced in a position that would appear that we are riding one the way Zell would but maybe a little different depending on the sex/race/clan.

And they could have T-Boards be customizable too, different colors, designs and color flare come from the bottom back parts.

I'll have to confiscate one >_>

If not a mount, they could always have it as Home Decor.

I can see this, absolutely. I wouldn't be surprised if a large percentage of the furnishings down the road are fan-service-related.
As for a mount, I think this is something that would have to come out of either Garlemald or Garlond. Garlemald doesn't seem casual enough to create such a thing, and the Garlond Ironworks probably have their hands full with other things.
On a side note, if they make hoovering mounts, will we be able to cross otherwise impassable gaps, like Burnt Lizard Creek (without the bridge) or the canyon in Eastern Thanalan? Unlikely, and being unable to pass over these things even though your mount flies would seem a bit awkward. I wonder how they will handle the Ahriman mount.
Edit: given they removed inertia-related animations, don't you think this type of mount would look really awkward? It wouldn't look like surfing as much as it would look like standing on a horizontal platform. Just imagine how bad the turns would look. Next time you're on your chocobo, or even running, take note of the lack of turning animations.

I can see where your coming from, but I think it just depends on how they would develop the animations of the characters while riding them if they were to include them in-game. They can always update the information they have out right now so if they lack animations right now who is to say they won't be able to touch them up later on down the road?I can see this, absolutely. True, but I think by the time they'd found the time to, most of us will have grown accustomed to the current system.
