the icon is plain useless IMO, it makes no difefrence having one or not having one.
Can Anyone here name Mobs that don't look like they are aggro? I think its pretty obvious.
When i started with the game, i was not sure if the crabs are aggro but other than that, i never had the issue.

Kilta_Firelotus: I've seen your replies in many threads. The thing is, what you say is always the same. I never said anything about making the game easy. Easy or hard was never talked about. As you've already proven you haven't really read the post by two of your comments so far I suggest you reread the whole thing again and then try systematically addressing my argument point by point.
As for your arguments and general ranting: I do want to see change in FFXIV. As I mentioned I had hopes that the game would become something amazing and innovative and definitely not a FFXI clone. Which brings me to the next point. Even stronger than my want for it to be different than FFXI is my want for it to be different from games like World of Warcraft. I understand that World of Warcraft brings in a larger crowd but we have a lot of games competing for that crowd. There is very little competition other than Square Enix's own game for another game of that type. That's why I ask Square Enix to uphold their honor and create a game for their fans and not one as a gamble to make the most profit.

For God's sakes it's a video game not your new home. If you want a better home start at ikea.com; you can make it look like anything you want. But if you insist on changing the direction of the game.. I understand. I suggested something called Loyalty Mode, and I think it is what you're looking for.

This game will not be successful without compromises. Look how watered down XI is now because of the stubborn design flaws it has.

Being a modern MMO doesn't make it any less of a final fantasy game but instead reaches out to more than one group which will help sustain the health of the game. FFXI started dying once WoW hit and people started realizing how a MMO doesn't have to take up so much time to be enjoyable(among other things). SE will have to reach out to casuals and hardcores while also adding that final fantasy feel to make it at ps3 launch.

edit: SE has already dishonored themselves enough with the PC release.
    pretty much this.

Yes. My time here is limited. April 19th is the deadline for some sort of fantastic news about FFXIV's future. Either yoshi-p says something incredible and Bel-Rof takes an extended break, or yoshi-p says nothing and Bel-Rof dies along with FFXIV's future.

This game is run by casual even the old FFXI players become casual players. Here the problem the casual players don't want to meet a meddle ground with the hardcore players this is the biggest issue. When i read about Tanaka saying this game was going to be casual it broke my heart. He said it was going to be Casual friendly but all i see is a casual game level up slow does not make a hardcore. There really is noting challenging about FFXIV "Yoshi-p" Say he a hardcore player but that can mean anything really. SE is trying to get the Casual players to try and play FFXIV question is did they forget there own fan-base that are not really that casual? sense when is 'Final Fantasy" Casual?

I just hope this game does not become a 100% Casual zone for that i'll play WoW even ffxiv is faster at level up then Wow O.o i got 1-19 in 1 leve reset that 1hour of game play. in WoW even with Boa and link account i don't think you can get 1-19 in about 1hour.

Akumu: I purposely used words like innovative and thinking outside the box so posters who replied to this would get the idea that I don't want an FFXI clone. Just a game that continues its spirit. Bring something immersive and beautiful. A work of art.

Neptune: I'm not sure whether you're saying this is a less serious matter than I'm making it out to be. If that's what you're saying then your opinion shouldn't matter as much to the developers.
If you're simply saying a video game shouldn't be a home... The developers are trying to a create a game where players will be for a very long time, similar to a home I guess. So again I say your opinion shouldn't matter as you are giving off the impression you won't be here long.

I believe MMORPGs were designed to be a kind of fantasy home for people to escape to, so I'd like it to get the necessary treatment.

One demographic is going to be alienated no matter what.

MMO's are, in the end, casual experiences. They don't offer enough legitimate challenge to deserve being tailored to those looking for a such a challenge. It would be good for S-E if they kept this in mind. Their main demographic (FF players) are used to games that don't challenge them, only entertain.
