FERNEHALWES!!! Lore Book?

Ferne! I'm dying here ; ;
Beta is SO much fun, I'm having a blast!
But I need more!!! The story and lore is amazing, and I can't help but to remember something about a lore book.
This would be something awesome to pass the time by and to really get into the world of Eorzea ^_^b (plus it will help me finish my backstory >_> hehe)

So I have a list of things I'm willing to do if you could please, for the love of the Twelve, give me this darn lore book!!

1.) I will open up a college fund for your child, they shall be the best Doctor known to man!
2.) Buy a star and name it Fernehalwes just for you! woo!
3.) I will go back in time and steal the Almanac from Biff so instead YOU can make millions!
4.) You can have my husband as your personal Butler for life. (He has agreed that he will respond to the name Jeeves, if you wish.)
5.) I'll change my family's Crest to an Ahriman. (Not sure if I have a family crest, but that makes it easier doesn't it!)
6.) I'll get the entire cast of "Peter Pan" to all shout in unison, "I do believe in Fernies! I do! I do!"
7.) Everyday after launch I will go sacrifice a Snurble in your honor. (You know how cute they are!?)
8.) If Ahriman are ever implanted as mounts in game, I will refuse it!


I think you get the idea... Please Ferne I need my fix!

I agree with this post. Can't find good lore in most games these days and the scrap of lore we get in the ARR beta is absolutely amazing!

I just found out today, on an idle google search, that Fernehawles' name comes from Canterbury Tales. It means: Distant Shrines.

How lovely a name...

Although, somehow I suspect a few of you already know this. At any rate, I am quite pleased to know it now.

I just found out today, on an idle google search, that Fernehawles' name comes from Canterbury Tales. It means: Distant Shrines.

And you do know that a lot of things such as the jobs were inspired from the Canterbury Tales, right? Such as "Summoner." In the book, the Summoner had "carbuncles" all over his face. That was a dead give away to me that the Final Fantasy "jobs" were inspired by that book.
