    Azeyma Meets Nald'thal

    Look closely at that screenshot.

The statue is clearly in the image of Nald'thal, as depicted in the Arrzanaeth Ossuary and Milvaneth Sacrarium.

Above his head, at the peak of the arch is the mark of Azeyma, a sun-disk within a bowl.

A few things are going through my head at the fact that these are being depicted together. Before I go into a full blown speculative and incohesive blabber, what are others thinking?

    Edit: While I'm at it...

This is the entrance of the Sunken Temple of Qarn, found a little south at Broken Water and is clearly a temple to Azeyma. It carries identical architecture to what is found exposed at Highbridge.

    Still mulling this over...

Clearly it is depicting Azeyma as the one true god above even Nald'thal, looking down upon him and all from her place in the sky. Or maybe it's a clue that Azeyma is Nald'thal's mother and so in someway is worshipped for birthing him? Maybe it's a temple in worship of fire so paying respect to the twelve associated with fire enhances that worship some how?

I'm actually wondering if it came from a previous age that worshipped the Six rather than the Twelve, maybe even pre-Allag. Although that is a rather wild idea, I admit.

Wild or not, it fits with the six flying, flowing figures in the Crystal cutscene.

I'll throw out a totally wild and uncalled for possibility: how about it being ruins from the ancient city of Belah'dia that's mentioned as a precursor to Ul'dah when first joining the THM guild in ARR?

Bumping this up with some new info

Looks like The "Invisible City" which is near this area is part of Belah'dia. So you may be on to something.
