There are also some interesting class quests about Alagan ruins and their leftover technology. I think the leatherworkers quest and the miners quest both talk about them.
I really enjoyed those class quests because you felt like you were a participant in the day to day dealings of the world. Whereas every other quest had you out saving the world or completing some grand gesture, the THM quest had you selling life insurance.

The Miner Quest line more or less was just about one girl's dream to be an archaeologist researching Sil'dih; a lot of people seem to think Sil'dih is an Allagan city, but it was contemporaneous with Ul'dah so I don't think that's true.

Big moose has extremely good observation skills that made him extremely hard to stalk.
I tried to stalk him several times during The Great Lala March, but he always immidiately ran away when i stood next to him &got the camera ready. :O
Hardest one was cutie...

I'll be at the second one - we'll try to corner Cutie together, lol. I'm always happy to join in screenshots, though. I'm still trying to figure out a name for the second march since it takes place in my hometown... thinking maybe Moosetached Marauder or Bearded Mooseketeer.

Sounds interesting, i'll just point out that Estinien was in the shroud during the opening dragoon quest. It might not be at all related though.
Yeah I thought about that too. But the quest suggests that he sought to fight Nidhogg in the Black Shroud to keep him from going into Ishgard.

Reading what Moose said (nicely laid out) Its seems pretty spot on With the CON quests and it seems very plausible that Morys was the basis of Damelliot's story he told.
As it has been a very long time since i did the ALC Quests i do remember having a conversation with a guild mate who we doing the same quest that it was very akin to the Diabolos scenarios in XI. Some outside third party has been affecting him over the years.
Also if anyone remembers the details i recall another set of quests in which Damelliot was involved i would put my Gil on it.
(OH how time messes with my recollection)

Absolutely! On top of that, the quests in 1.0 were pretty dark! If only the new players knew how brave it was for Gridania to reach out to the other nations, given how isolative they were at first. The Gladiator questline in particular did a wonderful job of showing this. There are also some interesting class quests about Alagan ruins and their leftover technology. I think the leatherworkers quest and the miners quest both talk about them.

As fun as this new light-hearted atmosphere is, I hope there's enough darkness to make us appreciate the happy parts.
