No one is forcing your LS to choose different servers. Theyre deciding that own their own. Its not SE fault they have provided more local servers for players and your LS mates have decided to utilize them... if anything it shows that your LS wasnt as closely knit as you thought they were, otherwise they would have collectively come up with a decision on which server they would migrate/stay on.
