Summoner hasn't even been released to beta testers yet. For all we know, you already can summon Carby. Let the job come out, test it out, then ask for stuff to be added.

Why wouldn't we be able to summon carby? >.> I really doubt they would block base class abilities lol

According to the Special Talk back in September, "Summoners replace Carbuncle with pets imbued with the power of the Primals".

Carby will be out-powered by more specific roles which SMN can access. And as far as we know, Carbuncle isn't a Primal, so lore-wise it would make no sense for a summoner to use him.

If you want to use Carbuncle, stay on ACN. If you don't want to stay ACN then you'll have to release your sub-par pet. That's all there is to it, they won't change it now for a few people having a tantrum.

It's not going to happen since they showed Carby being summoned by an Arcanist...kind of sad I can't even count how many times Carby saved my life even @ low levels.I'd rather they give Carby to the Summoners and dump Arcanist all together for a Ninja or Sam.What's that famous saying "If it's not broken DON"T Fix It"

They said Jobs are geared toward group play, in XI look at how many delve groups have a summoner using Carbuncle, or even have a summoner at all, why because the mechanics right now are, guess what, broken! And after all, this isn't XI, it is XIV.
