Concern about "Branching Classes"

I understand that part. But when they make new ones. If they have lets say Samurai off of Lancer since mine is alrdy 50 when it comes out I will have a 50 samurai. No need to lvl. That's what im trying to get at. I really see no point in making a new class with every job. That will be way to much classes and jobs. Also people will lvl up smn and never touch sch. But they will have a lvl 50 sch and not know how to play it at all

If you understand that part then why did you just said the same thing that he explain? That the point of the jobs there the skill tree system of FFXIV they just change the role of the job. The problem is you want to level up samurai from 1-50 just like you did in FFXI. The problem is in FFXIV samurai is noting but specialized roles for the classes adding new spells and changing the role just like wow.

Shaman can become Elemental,Enhancement,Restoration

In FFXIV

Arcanist can become Summoner,Scholar,????

Shaman jobs are Elemental,Enhancement,Restoration
Arcanist jobs are Summoner,Scholar,????

You learn how to play the job by doing the storyline and unlocking the spells. Today mmo is not about leveling up anymore it's all about endgame. At least they going to keep adding class so for the people that do enjoy level up have something to do lol.

Don't worry i was like that too But remember if you don't have the abilities you pretty much useless lol. Seeing how once you become a job it lock you out of some class spells and other spells from other class.

But ya don't worry you get use too it we just have to go with the flow.
