Ya and when the cap goes up they be more Spell to learn by doing quest.
It's like WoW
Warrior is the Class and the jobs are Arms,Fury,Protection
I really wish SE explain thing better so people can understand what there doing.

I'm hoping Yoshi at least puts out 2-4 more classes as well to go with this branching system.
-There should be a Fencer class. That would easily incorporate Samurai and Red Mage.
-There should be a Musketeer class. To incorporate two new range type Jobs Corsair & GunMage/Cannonair.
-There should be a Rogue/Purloiner/Pilferer class. To incorporate Thief & Ninja.
-There should be a Tamer type class. To incorporate Beastmaster/Bluemage.
-That fact that I can come up with these, "common sense" additions... Hopefully the BattleTeam-devs have the same Idea.
-This also brings new classes to level from scratch, giving the 1.0 vets something to take up their time level'n.
-Having only the classes we have now, and making everyone think there are no more classes being added, would only lead to some Jobs never making it to FFXIV. Milking the same skill set of the original 1.0 classes(lazy and redundant)
"You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war."
In this particular case we know also that some class abilities will be locked off while in the job role, which is a new take on it.
Since they haven't said how exactly this'll work its still wait and see though.

I don't think fencer would work with samurai and red mage. The class that would link samurai had to use a two handed katana yoshi-p already talk about this. He also thinking how he would add ninja seeing how ninja could be a dual wield job.
Everything else make sense.

I have much larger worries with how this is going to pan out, but I'm biting my tongue until we get an actual glimpse of how jobs will work. (Cause right now we have bupkiss but assumptions based on 1.23)
But I think it is hilarious that the OP says "Anarchist" rather than "Arcanist." I make that typo constantly.
Zenaku's grammar has actually come a long way for the past couple of years. He's done exceedingly well considering it itsn't his native language.
In this case, he's also right. A job isn't something that is so drastically different from the base class that it must be leveld on its own. Jobs are specialized roles for the classes, rather than totally separate entities that must be relearned from square one.
I think it should start at lvl 1 again when you unlock the job. I can understand if it a 1-1 but since they are going to be branching off 1-2. . I think when they come out with new jobs, just have the new jobs by themselves. Like for instance need a lvl 30 war and lvl 15 lance to unlock samurai. To me it defeats the purpose of a lvling game if I lvl 1 job that lvls everything that branches to it.

I'll leave this here this explain why jobs are not for level up.

I understand that part. But when they make new ones. If they have lets say Samurai off of Lancer since mine is alrdy 50 when it comes out I will have a 50 samurai. No need to lvl. That's what im trying to get at. I really see no point in making a new class with every job. That will be way to much classes and jobs.
Also people will lvl up smn and never touch sch. But they will have a lvl 50 sch and not know how to play it at all.

Look up Kendo. Kendo is a form of Japanese Fencing, and the way to using a real Katana.
Fencer Class would choose between two weapons. A rapier or a Kata. Each heading towards a RedMage job or a Samurai Job.
