Anyone else find the reunion with Minfilia a little jarring?
Minfilia: "Well met, friend. My name is Minfilia, and I lead the Scions of the Seventh Dawn."
Then she walks towards you and says, I can only presume the next section in an undertone.
"After five long years... you've come back to us, just as Louisoix said you would... Words cannot describe the joy I feel at this moment. Welcome home. Aye, I remember you still, and everything you fought for. Know that you are not entirely forgotten."
After that, she reverts to what I guess is the normal quest text, and carries on as if she and the Circle of Knowing don't remember you.
There's no indication, other than that she approaches you, that she's whispering or talking in an undertone. Maybe could have done with a different text bubble outline, like the linkshell one used in the Echo scenes at the battle, ore something similar.

Voice acting is yet to be properly implemented, so the indication may be found then.
She later apologises for having to treat you like a stranger.
Of course, the text flow could have been handled a little more carefully, but there were possibly some compromises to make for the sake of voice recordings.
This is something I've been wondering about since I got to this point yesterday. Does she also give the "I remember you" speech to new characters? I didn't get this far with my new character from the first phase 3 weekend. It would make the most sense if it was only returning characters that see that, but ever since Thancred told my new character that he was familiar I've been wondering how many of the "I vaguely remember you" are 1.0 specific.Anyone else find the reunion with Minfilia a little jarring?

After re-watching the final scene of Living on a Prayer and having Louisoix tell me "If I can but see you to a new future, I should want for nothing more" followed by the End of the Era; the most powerful thing for me in what we have seen of the new story wasn't any speech, conversation, or specific scene. The most powerful thing for me was seeing this:

I agree, seeing Louisoix's staff was sort of a shocker, I didn't notice it until after I left the CS.

Welp, now I'm looking forward to two explanations which may or may not be addressed in the future..
1) Why 1.0 adventurers being teleported into the future caused this massive amnesia.
2) Why the Echo jump supposedly works differently now. Although Minfilia describes it the same way as her 1.0 text. But this choice of presentation is to make it more obvious that: "Oh hey, you're looking into the past", rather than potentially confusing players as to what they're actually doing. I do love the glitchy VHS effects in these Echo cutscenes now though.

Also, no mention of "wild rose" being used as the password by the Scions?
Although not many have played the real FF2 so yeah. That could happen.
That and the awesome use of the Final Fantasy II battle theme!
