Glad it seems to be working out. I added the PS3 Beta code to my account and it created a second service account. I can play both platforms on both. Essentially I now have two accounts I can play simultaneously, which was unintended. The PSN ID links to the SE account, not the individual service account.

It never asked me to add the PS3 Beta code. Have you been in Beta before this code?

Do you see your PSN ID anywhere in your SE acccount?

    Thanks!

Yes, I was in earlier phases. It didn't ask me to register the PS3 code, except for in the original e-mail. As I now have two service accounts, I get the feeling that I didn't really need to do that - it probably would have sufficed just to use the PS3 download code and start playing on my PS3 without applying the new Beta code to my SE account.

Account 1 is Legacy and has a Beta reg date of 19th Feb.
Account 2 is not and has a Beta reg date of 14th June.

I could play on my PS3 on Account 1.

Nothing in my SE account page makes mention of my PSN ID, but the in-game title screen has it printed at the bottom iirc.

Thanks! Good to know. I only downloaded the PS3 client yesterday, after the beta weekend ended. So, I guess I'll see how it looks next weekend (and if I see if my PSN is on the game title screen).

My concern with ending up with two FFXIV Service Accounts is really so I don't screw up something later. I've read people accidentally attaching something to the wrong account. If I just have one account, I won't be able to do that.

It's strange that since they've told us only one PSN can be attached to our SE Account that it doesn't show up there. You'd think they'd show that attachment somewhere in the SE Account once we've done it.

I assume what we've been calling PSN = Sony Entertainment Network account.

    I own a PS3, but I'm a total newb about it.
