Can my level 50 start in a new server?

Tell your friends to quit being bitches and join your server. Every server will have a trashed economy in a few months anyways, so what's the difference? My friends all want to start fresh too, which I think is dumb because they aren't going to play enough for the economy to matter and within 2-3 days everyone will have lv50s and they will be in the same position as if they joined the server I am going to be on. People just want the game to be fair for them to start but they don't realize it DOESN'T EVEN MATTER!

Ya getting a 50 could be done in matter of 1-2weeks for a new player few days for a old player. I say if you have a 1.0 friend then you just join with them due to the fact that they can help you. If you don't then just join a new world.

So this will eventually be possible? The reason I asked is because my friends want to start in a fresh new server. I want to join them there, but I don't want to abandon my level 50.

It will be possible, just not right away. This is so people who want a fresh start get to start in a brand new environment without any impact from other players starting with high level jobs.

One level 50 is not that large of an investment, unless said 50 had a relic/darklight gear. Hell even some high tier Grand Company gear, but otherwise if you want to play with your friends just re-roll. Letting high level characters move over to a new server is not fair to new players, we would have basically a large head-start over any of them.

They haven't stated any restrictions for world transfer in the new posts about how servers are migrating and they even say this: "In the event that your character data has been transferred to an undesired region, we ask that you submit a World transfer application. Applications will be accepted during phase 3, and transfers will occur during phase 4."

I'm guessing all launch servers will be available to transfer to, and after launch there will be a paid service like FFXI to transfer characters to another server.

They are also letting us completely re-customize any legacy characters, race, gender, name, starting class (which will determine starting city)

I asked this last year but didn't get a definitive answer, but
Basically, I want to start in a server where the economy won't be dominated by all the level 50 crafters. So I want to start in a fresh brand new server. But I would like to keep my level 50 warrior, and perhaps I can also start as a level 1 for my other jobs.

Will this be possible? If not, what are the options?

Not at launch... you are stuck on Legacy servers.

Options:
- Choose a Legacy server for your 1.0 character
- Create a new character on a new server.
- Wait until SE decides to open world tranfers (could take a year)

Also, I think everyone can make money easily. Dungeon-raiders will get rare materials that can only be found there, gatherers will have HQ mats, crafters will make spiritbond materials... The trick to make cash is easy: Sell but don't buy. Everything can be found and created.
