Can my poor friend run it?

I sent my friend a link to the benchmark test and his ghetto gaming rig got about 4900 score on medium settings. The benchmark called this a ''High'' score...but I'm not sure how accurate it is. Would he atleast be able to run it on low with playable frame rates? We just want it to be playable.

Note, I am not asking how crappy his computer is compared to your epic gaming rig, so don't post about that.

based on that he should be able to run it, what is his specs if you know any would help judge a little better.

4900 is a pretty good score. He shouldn't have problems running on medium.

It will run just fine, but what it really comes down to is what's acceptable quality to your friend, which is more than just the number punched out at the end.

If they're happy with the visual quality and framerate while watching the benchmark run, that's all that matters. And likely the game will run smoother than the benchmark's renders in most cases since the benchmark is designed to cram a lot of characters/objects into a single screen, more so than typical gameplay.

Yeah your friend should be able to play it, I got a little over 2000 on my laptop on medium settings.

well, considering how I was able to play 1.23 from a computer with 900 in score, and 2.0 is much nicer about it, im pretty sure you will get it to run. Actually, im quite sure it can be run at max if you dont count in ambient occlusion.

Was he watching the benchmark while it was running? If it was running smoothly then the game will run fine... since you know the benchmark is simulating game scenes under extreme stress.

Also, the benchmark does take frame rate into account when it gives you the score.

That's about my score! I'm on a Core 2 w/ a Nvidia 8800 GTS w/ 4gb of RAM.

I lag/low fps hard in high population areas like around the aeths, but inside dungeons, I'm usually sitting comfortably at around 30fps. I think he'll be fine!

question is was that on high or max settings? I noticed you score lesser as you bump up graphics iirc
