seems that even with the need greed pass system ls/fcs still intend on using the dkp system. i dont understand why thought if you are in a raid and you need the item you shoul dbe able to need on it and not be foreced to pass and give it up just becasue you dont have enought points its not fair but on the other hand if say ur playing WHM and need a piece of tank gear you cannot need on it and can only greed. therefore you as the tank should be able to get it since thats the job your on and also not have to pass just becasue you dont have enough points its complete BS. the game has a need greed pass sytem for a reason not so people can manipulate it just so certain people can get the gear they want and others get screwed everytime

Need/Greed are designed so that there's a sense of fairness when doing content with PUGs (Pick-up groups). If your free company wants to use another system, that's entirely their prerogative. You're always free to leave and find another one if it bothers you that much. What exactly do you expect SE to do, ban the company leaders for kicking you if you keep rolling for everything?

It's like a private business, they are able to impose whatever additional rules and requirements around the common rules that they feel is best for them. Just be sure to check what those additional rules are before you commit yourself to an FC/LS and you'll be fine. Don't join the ones that you don't feel are fair.

As already noted, the N/G system is a good compromise for random groups, and with the Content Finder being the primary method of getting yourself into end-game content, you'll be quite glad for it. If you want WHM gear, then sign up on WHM. If you want PLD gear, sign up on PLD. That way, you are in control of what equipment you are capable of getting - all that is required then, is a) the piece dropping, and b) you winning the lot.
