So unless they are already at the point of making multiple jobs from one class, then it isn't Scholar, but merely scholar-looking gear. Honestly, I HOPE it's scholar (they did supposedly had a second job they were gonna introduce for ARR), but I'm not gonna get my hopes too high on it.
Regardless, I don't believe they would show a random class on the official box art when a single class clearly wouldn't belong alongside of all the known jobs.

We'll see, but I'm sure there's something to it.
