You may want to go check the definition of "defamation", because it doesn't mean what you think it means. This thread was made explicitly to ask for a clarification, and quite obviously Yoshida himself thought such clarification was necessary, as he deemed appropriate to go out of his way to post that information.

The question wasn't answered here and not in English. It's not rocket science to understand that I and most others that argued here had no idea about it until someone broke the NDA about it. Not everyone follows every post made in Japanese by the devs, and we shouldn't have to.

Exactly my point. He should at the very least edit his OP with this updated proof that contradicts with his strange theories, and more than likely needs to also apologize to Hvinire for misrepresenting his own official post on the matter.

I'm actually surprised 1.0-ers are getting anything at all, considering we got at least 6+ months of free trial. 2 weeks free is cool and all, but...did you guys really just spend all those posts arguing about what a free trial was/wasn't? Worst case scenario, we pay a measly ten dollars as soon as the launch version starts, just like we used to...I don't see a problem with that. If it's to support Yoshi-P, the future content, and the game itself, then yeah, I'm all for giving ten bucks to the game as soon as it's released, and I'm adamant to pay the extra 20 for the digital CE bonus. We get all of Beta 4 to test for free. They've stated that that's pretty much like playing the actual game, so...-shrug-

I just don't get why you were so entitled to get that one month...we got a lot of free months before, and here you are, asking for another? I think that's really silly. You need to be more grateful for what we did get, not being entitled to what we could be getting. We are not entitled to anything. I too have criticized some things about ARR and I'm not really into SE stuff, but still...they're not perfect. no company is. especially when things are in the process of changing. I'm just glad they're not selling out into a pay-to-win model, and I hope they never do.

This is a *large* 180 from what was announced previously (for instance here), that clearly stated that there'd be a free trial for PC users before they'd have to pay the monthly fee.

I'd say a clarification is needed because there are going to be a lot of disappointed people because of this.

If I didn't completely misinterpret what Hvinire said, I can't even start explaining how bad an idea this is, as it completely misses the chance to drag back into the game many 1.0 players that would probably try it if they had some free game time, but having been disappointed once, won't spend money on it without trying it.
