But, they forget to also tell it in the Windows+Windows example, which lead people to think that you can register your 2 copy of the game inside the same Service Account, and then only pay for one subscription.
However, you will still need a second service account and copy of the game if you want to dual box, or have multiple people in the same household play the game.. One copy of the game can only be used by one person at a time.

There is a separate FAQ for multi-person account holding so it's not relevant here.

What they need to say is that you will only need one SE account to dual box for one person and that when your Windows product is registered it will be a second service on that SE account. You'll be asked to choose which to log in when you enter SE ID and password.

If they had said that no one really would have any more questions. lol

Windows only: To play three characters simultaneously
    - A Square Enix account
    - A copy of the Windows version
    - Three registration codes obtained from the product or the "FINAL FANTASY XIV Service Center"
*You can register up to eight registration codes per Square Enix account.
*The "FINAL FANTASY XIV Service Center" website will be available after the game is launched. Please note that the website can only be accessed by those who purchased FINAL FANTASY XIV and registered a service account.
This one already saying you can multibox with 1 SQEX ID, reason why they do not specify this quote :

*Please create separate service accounts for the Windows version and the PlayStation 3 version of FINAL FANTASY XIV. You will not be able to play at the same time if you register the codes under the same service account.
Was because there isn't a need to do so for PC version, SQEX will detect the code and place it as a new Account Service.
