How can you log in the other Ffxiv 2 if you are logged in on Ffxiv 1 if you have the same login? Not asking to fight that was one of my questions.
If only 1 has legacy how can you get benefits on your ALT?

To answer your question:
Yes, you can load two or three instances of the game (you could do this even in 1.0 with a bit of help >.>). If you want to make a new character with the code you get from a new copy of the software, it'll be an entirely new account, so another sub fee (standard, since its a brand new account and not Legacy).
If you decide to, you CAN link the new, second account to your SE ID, as it allows up to 8 service accounts. This has been true since the Square Enix account system has been in place. You're allowed to have multiple service accounts of XI as well.
The advantage to having them under one SE ID is being able to link them all under the same security token, and ease of entering SE ID/Passwords etc. Each account is able to log in on its own, regardless whether another account is already online.
You also have the option of creating an entirely new SE ID and linking your new account to that. It's free, so there is no detriment to doing it this way either. How you attach it to an SE ID is entirely up to you.
long story short: yes you can dual-box. Theoretically, you can log in to as many accounts as your pc could handle, and as many accounts as you have access to (I remember back in the XI heyday, there was this hardcore guy that loaded like 6 instances of XI to farm things like Dynamis and Limbus and all that lol)
I've dual boxed for many years on XI, and did it for a bit on XIV, so I'm no stranger to how SE has this all set up. Hope this has helped ease some of your confusion!

I have two games code within one account. When i log in Final fantasy it ask me if i want to log in to final fantasy xiv 1 or 2 i just click 1 then start other window of ffxiv and log in as 2. I use 2 to teleport me around when needed and to hold items when crafting![]()

Thanks! That was an answer I was waiting for. XD
I hadn't done it before and I hadn't seen anyone else do it, I wasn't sure if it was possible. ^_^

It's possible work just fine in 1..0 it should work just fine in 2.0 also you are paying for other account. You could simple just make other SE account and add that code there if you worry about it.
in beta i also got the final fantasy 1 and final fantasy 2 because both code in my account have legacy. Seeing how you be doing this with PC i see you having no issue tho.

:x i thought i already answered you that...
Q: If both my characters share the same Square Enix account, how am I supposed to log in at the same time if their both on the same Square Enix account with the same account log in info?
A: There will be a choice of which Service account you want to enter. EG. log in "Final Fantasy XIV 1" or "Final Fantasy XIV 2", etc.

Unfortunately, SE are not likely to give you a straight answer themselves, because multi-boxing is the foundation of how RMT exploited the game.
Well it seems that the new client appears to be supportive, since it's basically telling everyone how to do it in their own knowlege base.
And sorry I misunderstood your response Sierra, I really didn't "get it" when I read it the first (couple) times. lol

You won't get an official response. Don't use their stupid multiple account setup. Just make a new account on a new email with a new user name and pw, it's really that easy. If you can't figure it out from there, you shouldn't be boxing.

The main reason because Hiir Noivl is confused is the same as mine, they did specify on the PS3 example that you need to register the 2 copy to 2 different Service Account (inside the same SE Account), which means you will have to pay for 2 subscriptions.
But, they forget to also tell it in the Windows+Windows example, which lead people to think that you can register your 2 copy of the game inside the same Service Account, and then only pay for one subscription.
The confusing thing is why writing it in PS3 example and not in the Windows example, because obviously both will need copy to be registered to 2 different Service Account, and there will be 2 subscriptions.
So, as Hiir Noivl, I think they should modify a bit that support page, it's a bit confused, even if I know how this work, other people can make mistakes easily.
