If you looked at all, you'd notice that JP image is the PS3 CE. NA image shows our PC version. Guess what the PS3 supports 100% of the time?

The video content is probably short enough that blu-ray quality would still fit on a DVD anyway.

He is talking about the movie content disc specifically, and there is no guarantee that if you get the NA PS3 version that you will get a Blu-ray version of the movie content disc. It's entirely possible that they are only printing them in DVD format since that is more prevalent in NA then Blu-ray currently.

Like-wise, there is no indication that you will get DVD's instead of Blu-ray if you get the PS3 version, only that the JP version has a Blu-ray movie content disc in it.

I think a better focus of the post would be to ask for clarification on if any of the NA version include a Blu-ray version of the movie content disc.

Also, Japanese version is about 11000 yen (roughly 108$) while the NA one is 69$.
    Stop complaining.

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.

Buying the same copy as you guys in AU will cost $98.

    Complain less.

The JP PC version also specifically says the movie disc is BluRay. http://store.jp.square-enix.com/detail/SE-W0012 I have a feeling that the NA PS3 version would be the same as the other NA versions, whether that's DVD or not.

Japan does get a cooler outer box too, and the case for the movie looks far better with the stylized Meteor logo.

But yeah, as pointed out, it's also quite a bit more expensive than the American version. HD would be nice though.
