    ARCHER MACROS

Not sure if anyone wants to share their macros, but just curious on how others setup their macros for Archer. My Archer is at 33 atm and most of my macros are set for Solo since I don't PT much and there's not alot of Party Mechanics that I know of or experienced.

    Regular Pull:

    /ac "Multishot" <me>
    /wait 5
    /ac "Multishot" <me>

Power Pull (if everything is charged):

    /ac "Multishot" <me>
    /wait 5
    /ac "Multishot" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Raging Strike" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Blindside" <me>

    Healing Shot:
    /ac "Raging Strike" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Bloodbath <me>
    /wait 3
/ac "Wide Volley" <t> (or Puncture II)

    Stay Still
    /ac "Multishot" <me>
    /wait 5
    /ac "Multishot" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Shadowbind" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Light Shot" <t>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Trifurcate" <me>

Most of them are a combination of different Abilities or just buffs only macros.

The only macros I use are to switch arrow types in the middle of battle. I prefer to have more direct control over my order of actions

Yeah I have tons of macros(I use 1 Ctrl Bar and 1 Alt Bar for WS/Buffs etc).
I'll comment your macros in RED below.

It's been a while since I last logged in, solving some stuff IRL, but I intend to get back soon.

Btw, take my texts as critics, I'm very, very humble XD.

    Cheers!

I use one exactly as above, called Nock, also I put my Refill/Close Shot/Multishot skills on my 3rd bar(which I dont use, and macro'd those for fast access)

Power Pull (if everything is charged):

    /ac "Multishot" <me>
    /wait 5
    /ac "Multishot" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Raging Strike" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Blindside" <me>

Useless to put all of that in the same macro IMHO, I have the same macro with just Raging Strike II and Ferocity II, Blindside has a macro for itself because it's used in a special occasion, which is when enemy is with its back at you.

    Healing Shot:
    /ac "Raging Strike" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Bloodbath <me>
    /wait 3
/ac "Wide Volley" <t> (or Puncture II)

Useless because Bloodbath does not benefit from AoE skills/spells, you should focus on Bloodbath + Foeseeker, or another Strong singlehit WS.
My Wide Volley II is in the 3rd bar as well, macro'd to ALT for fast access.

    Stay Still
    /ac "Multishot" <me>
    /wait 5
    /ac "Multishot" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Shadowbind" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Light Shot" <t>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Trifurcate" <me>

    Useless because:
Shadowbind is worthless using in the middle of combat, the most advantage of that skill is binding the target, so that you can run. If you hit the target, they get released.
Also, it consumes a lot of stamina, you won't use it too much later on. Or will use it just to bind and get some distance from the target.

Final Note: you can put /recast "Skill Name", so that when you use a macro, it'll write up the cooldown remaining to be able to use that skill again.
    Ex:

    /ac "Wide Volley II" <t>
    /wait 3
    /recast "Wide Volley II"

Most of them are a combination of different Abilities or just buffs only macros.

Sweet thanks for the info... /recast is a nice add... didn't even know that. The Blindside macro is for pulling I don't use that in battle after the pull. Most of my macros are made for pulling... Accept the Healing Shot. But thanks for the advice!

Sure, but you should not focus only on "pulling", after all in endgame (NMs), archers are the DPS, and the fights are quite long. So you have to keep buffing up before using incapacitating skills(and that's where macro really helps), of course the tank should be able to hold aggro as well.

    Cheers!

Yeah haven't gotten much experience doing NMs and Party Play. I was a pretty good RANGER in FFXI so I think I will do pretty good as an archer... now we just need for GROUP CONTENTS and PARTY MECHANICS.

Since I basically solo a lot, most of my macros are solo (though I have a few basic ones for behest party play).

    Main solo macro:

    /ac "Multishot" <me>
    /ac "Multishot" <me>
    /ac "Light Shot" <t>
    /ac "Shadowbind" <t>
    /ac "Feint" <t>

This sets up Multishot on a mob. After Multishot, it uses Shadowbind. If Shadowbind hits, it sets me up to use the macro for another Multishot while the mob is far away. If it misses, Feint goes off for extra damage before the mob gets to me.

It's very effective. I can do huge burst with prebuffs and then bind an enemy in one button. Useful for sitting on the couch watching movies while grinding/farming.

My party macro just nocks the arrows for me instead of cycling through the other abilities. I have separate macros for buffs and stuff.
