    Molly's ARR Stat Guide

    Since I can't share this on the beta forums for people to shoot holes in, I'll share it here. I made a general guide to ARR stats. Please feel free to let me know of any issue you might find in it. I'd like to make sure it's 100% accurate.

    That was pretty good! I do hope that you will keep it updated. It would be worth re-reading on your part though, just to correct some minor grammar errors that won't have shown up on spell-check (eg "waist" instead of "waste")

    Thank you for all this work, and thanks be to that guy you got so much of your information from (your listed source). I printed out both your work and his, gave the packet its own laminated binding, and keep it at my side for use in game.

    OP, what about defense for tank? Most tanking gear has optimal defense, but what about slotting a piece of gear with more STR/DEX but less defense over a piece of gear with less STR/DEX but more defense?

    Hopefully things don't change too much in phase 4 and release so we can start committing all of this knowledge to memory again.

    DEX adds block/parry rate, STR adds damage mitigation from blocking and parrying. VIT is only HP, so without the other two it won't help all that much. As long as you equip HQ high iLevel items made for a tank, you should get plenty of VIT. In a lot of cases, the BiS item will have VIT as a main stat already.

    But again, you can break some of those rules. You could, for example, use Rubelite rings and stack VIT on them. I'm gonna stack DEX on mine, personally, but I could see going the VIT route. Sometimes the highest iLevel item for the slot has VIT rather than STR, or DEX, in which case I'd add STR first then DET. Given the way melding works, I'm gonna go for quad melds in every slot that I'm using melded gear.

    I'm curious about Attack Power/Attack Magic Potency vs Determination. Has anybody tested the relative rate of returns for those?

    Determination has about a quarter of the effect of Attack Power (ie STR) at level 50.

    Haven't quite worked out the numerical impact of Defense yet. It's tied into your level, so at lv50, the same defense score will mitigate less damage than it does at lv45 against an identical enemy. It's also seemingly non-linear in its reduction (in fact a graph of test results comes out as a waveform...).
