"You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war."
Exactly. And it SETS a standard.This brushes on the truly amazing part of the story though. It should not have been physically possible to make something of this quality in 2 years. There's just so much polish and richness to the game it's mind boggling that it was produced well under half of the time it takes most studios to push out hack job games. Every-so-often I catch a sight of roughness from them rushing through the process, but it is miraculously rare.
I don't think anyone else has any excuse for making crap.
Hope this guy fixes the combat system
If pigs can really fly, I wouldn't care about anything else!!!
Part of the success of this project is Yoshi-P's past MMO playing history (or at least, eluded to history) and his know how of how good online games function. The other part is his and his teams amazingly hard work at making this engine and game DAMN GOOD, the attention to detail, the common sense utilitarian implementations such as level sync, ect. ect. It took Blizzard 5 years to make WoW completely functional. Yoshi-P and his team took their common sense, background knowledge, and experience, and made near perfect online mechanics that i think will endure for quite a while, and give us YEARS of enjoyment.
Long live the MMO dream team. ~~-->Yoshi-P and crew > NCSoft/Blizz<--~~

It Couldn’t Be Done
BY EDGAR ALBERT GUEST
Somebody said that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
Somebody scoffed: “Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it;”
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat
And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure,
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing
That “cannot be done,” and you’ll do it.
I'd go gay with Yoshi-P
