The bonus in-game items (a "Cait Sith Doll Minion" and "Mog Cap") will be delivered to the account that the pre-order bonus code has been registered to."

With that in mind, you can "buy" the pre-order items it would just cost you the price of a new game (roughly $29.99 at cheapest, or $79.99 at most if you want the whole kit-n-kaboodle).

Steps for existing users to get the pre-order items:
* Pre-order a new copy of FFXIV
* When you get it, apply the code to your existing Square Enix account
* Once code is put on an existing account, all items will be mog mailed to the existing characters on your account.
