Instead of being rude about it, why not answer the actual questions? You are taking one image from concept art and your knowledge that an old game in the same series had a character who looked similar and therefore they MUST be the same. But you are ignoring the whole 'how it worked' in that game thing. Conjurer IS basically a Scholar type of class per your definition:

So again, How does that job you described fit into THIS game.


Could Scholar be a new Job. Sure it could. But how would it work in this game now? Because if you can't explain that, then your conjecture loses a lot of footing.


Also, Arcanist could be another name for a Scholarly-type model. Which is why you see the 'mortar board' It's just there to show off the New Class/Job for ARR.
