FFXIV vs TESO (non-important thread)

I feel that The elder scrolls online just going to fail. Too me it feel like what SE did with FFXIV just put the name of there best seller and make it into a MMO. How the MMO market is going i just don't see many MMO making it.

There only really one guy who rage the rest are pretty cool and looking forward to ffxiv also. Someone even explain that FFXIV are not kids and really are 20-30+year old which is very true while TESO have more kids playing it.

But overall it seem a lot of people are liking ffxiv.

Yeah, as Zenaku said, just off the TESO official forums.

I think a lot of people are positive about both games (myself included). I find it entertaining that some folk feel the need to pick sides, like the whole Xbox vs Playstation thing; guess what - I have both^.

Of course, if I had to choose one over all the others, it's FFXIV all the way

I said this when we were discussing it on Twitter earlier, but it bears repeating, I guess.

The Elder Scrolls Online looks like it has a lot of potential; the franchise lends itself well to an MMO and they have plenty of lore to draw from. The thing is, TESO, and TES in general, imho, is currently like an unfinished sculpture. If they're very careful and considerate of what pieces (of their franchise) are removed, what pieces are reshaped, and what pieces are made prominent, there's a real masterpiece inside provided that nobody gets stupid with the chisel.

Meanwhile, I'm a big fan of FF and ARR - and so far Team Yoshi-P has been pretty good about keeping their hands off the chisel until they know what they're doing. So which am I more excited for? ARR. Eye's on TESO out of interest and enjoyment of Western high fantasy, but I'm actually excited for ARR.
