Seriously. Speculation sucks. I avoid it at all costs and it annoys me greatly.

That being said, I'm going to "speculate" here at the comment by OP that we are "over analyzing" the SCH thing (that "Wheel pic" I presume.)

(Here comes the speculation! Disclaimer: It is just my opinion, and not stated as fact!) We are not over-analyzing the SCH thing. That pic IS OF SCH AF. If that image is from a legitimate source, I will be surprised if SCH at launch/first patch is not confirmed very soon. I'm not going to speculate what class it comes from, though.

well i meant over analyzing it, as in: it's just arcanist, or is it 2nd job for arcanist, is it sage, why does it have book, it looks like this or that class, no it's scholar, no it's not, bicker bicker
She holds a book, and has scholar AF (as if the hat didn't look scholarly enough) ofc it's scholar now we just wait for official info on it (which yoshi won't do in LL, cause PR team gonna chop his head off )

I'm extremely interested in knowing how and when we will be picking servers. Could you show us an example of this process? A large number of my friends and I are really confused as to how we should go about our planning at the moment and we don't want all the information to come out with only a few days to organise ourselves.

- Will we be able to test multiple server regions before making our decision?
- Will we be able to transfer our characters in the future, if we feel we made the wrong choice?
- Will we be able to play with our friends from other worlds in instanced content (ie, can we specifically pick who we want to play with if we are all on at the same time)?
- Will there be any servers specifically labelled as 'international' for those of us from 1.0 servers to congregate on and avoid being split up?
- How are you planning to encourage people to play during the inevitable 'quiet hours' on regional servers?

All my questions are kind of based around that. I trust you guys to make a great game, I just want to play it with the friends I have made in 1.0 (from multiple regions of the world) and the rest of my friends from my site (who are also from around the world).

In addition to my dear friend's excellent questions regarding the future of server selection in relation to our 1.0/Legacy characters:

• Is there a chance that servers will become "full" and we could be locked out of a server previously agreed upon among our friends, allowing well organized friends and linkshells to actually get separated, despite all planning efforts? What measures will be put in place to make sure that this will not happen?

• Will 1.0 or Legacy characters have a first server choice or some type of priority to select from the worlds/servers that are reserved for existing/imported characters (not "new character servers")?
  

Will the marriage quest be implement at launch, and if not at launch, how soon?

My two questions are important (well the first one is; the second is purely selfish lol) and I sure hope they start answering them... I notice Radacci didn't try to tackle them.

I've posted them every time! They've never even come close to discussing these two issues. :/ I'm very obsessed with the server issue.

I think you'll get the info before OB it's still a bit away.
They would stab themselves in the foot, if they didn't give people time to organize their LS, and plan what servers to go to etc.

They have mentioned that you'll be able to change server during first 6 month or such; as to how many times, i dont know.

there will just be regional servers, but i'm sure (as it tends to be in other games) that US servers will be international servers, where N/S US, EU etc gather. You can ofc pick whichever server you want, except the new ones, unless you want to make new chars there.

Well...i think they mentioned that duty finder is cross-server...not sure. If so there wont be quiet-times.
Even though in WoW you can party, and even chat with people, cross server...i'm unsure if that will be possible, at least at launch. Something to suggest otherwise.

I don't think SE can or will do anything specific to combat full servers, like that.
maybe they will keep a limit on how many chars can be made on any one server, to begin with, as to spread out people equally, and over time raise nr of people on a server.
So i guess, if such a thing happens, you might need to wait for them to increase the limit.
Or maybe support could help you out.
But well, you got all of phase 4 to sort it out

Hmm, well it depends on if we need to pick final server again after phase 4, or not.
If not, legacy wont get first, cause i assume phase 4 starts at same time for all.
Otherwise legacy get early access (possibly^^) and can pick whichever server, first.
And they aren't reserved to legacy/1.0. new people can join *old* servers too, but you cant import 1.0 chars to *new* servers.

I think it's good questions, that need answer.
But they always talk about housing instead ^^
But yah, i think all this will be clarified before phase 4.
From the link about transfer, i'm reading that as: you can server-swap freely, for a time, so that you'll end up where you want to.

but really...they said in last live letter, that even Limsa isn't finished, it's common sense that Crystal Tower, and Bahamut Labyrinth are not finished (and common sense aside, they have said themselves, that it's not finished)
And they haven't showed Arcanist yet even....because it's not finished (they said that themselves too)
CT, and BL aren't even planned for launch, so why would they show summoner action in there? (they said this already)
Yoshi is always getting in trouble for showing stuff; such as, he was not supposed to show the water area in Limsa....that's a small thing, but it's not finished (he said that himself), so he's not supposed to show it. Same with CE box.
He didn't show anything of Coerthas...because it's not finished (and that's planned for launch, they have said this before)
so again...what makes you think they'd show anything of CT, or BL?

yes, they said they'd make videos of all classes, so new people will know what it's about; my point is, they won't show it in LL. So instead of asking questions about it in LL thread, we can wait until they show the class videos
ofc there's the chance that class vids come before LL, and phase 3 start after LL (like phase 1-2 did) in which case, you'll know about Arcanist before LL; which would still make the questions pointless.
if they show arcanist in LL, then the class video would be a bit pointless instead.
it's a matter of PR, and the PR team wont let Yoshi show arcanist in LL.

they haven't really talked about that a lot. they just mentioned that you cant dye AFs, at least to begin with; to keep their traditional identity. and that they'd keep a small selection of colors, so you dont end up with robes that look like neon signs, or some other color, depending on lighting conditions.
i suppose that's something he could chat a bit about in LL.

ACN = Arcanist

Yoshi has said that Archer isn't finished, but it was still bring played in Alpha/Beta

well in that case no classes are finished, since they are changing skills of all classes, between ph2 and 3
archer needed the most change, since it didn't have any good combos; which annoyed a lot of people.
ARC has been around a long time already though, and ACN is new, and ACN is Limsa class, so it wasn't available for those reasons. It would be odd to leave out ARC from beta, since it's Grid class.

No no no, you missed my point. You were saying that ACN hasn't been shown since it was unfinished (months ago) and that's the reason we haven't been shown it, when in fact ARC has been in a much worse position yet they let new people play it without reservation so saying that about ACN is a moot point.

We know ACN wasn't available to play in Beta, and it's not just because it was an LL class, Yoshi has stated a long time back that the class won't be released until Launch; polishing it up has nothing to do with it, since none of the classes are polished at all. That's kind of the point of Beta =b
