Currently the line is very blurry, with SE posting images publicly and ... not making comments about them publicly.

See, this is how blurry it's getting. The Armoury Board still exists publicly. There have been no public statements to the contrary.

I'm so confused =$ Everything to do with this is public information, Beta testers know no more than the public do on this matter, so how is it blurry? I seriously don't understand, am I missing something? >.<

I suppose you could have just been assuming the Armoury Chest replaces the Armoury board. I had assumed you were stating it as fact. I'm sorry for sidetracking the thread.

It may have all been translated in a specific thread which is dedicated to translating JP to EN stuff, but it may not have been translated in this particular forum. In said thread, I'd imagine the translation being around post #800.

But I'm not too sure.

Remember the armoury chest screenshot posted on the FFXIV Facebook page last week? Of course you do.

We wanted to also mention that the gear set feature itself will be totally revamped! And it will be possible to place gear sets on the hot bar, making it possible to change with a single button.

The duty finder is already up and running. However, we still need to make various adjustments and the Beta phase 4 release timing has not been changed.
There is a possibility that we implement it into Beta phase 3 with limited features.
This is an extremely convenient feature and we would like to release it as soon as possible, but please hang in there a bit longer.

Ahh ok. That makes more sense.

So gear sets still exist, but the armoury chest allows you to add items to multiple gear sets instead of having the item removed from your inventory, it just references the item inside the armoury chest when adding it to your gear sets.
