Miner -> Major
...
WHAT??

Botanist > Lumberjack
Fisher > Trawler
Miner > Geomancer
...ok, that last one was a more serious suggestion.

Maybe instead of upgrading to a "Job" we can just become specialists at certain types of gathering? Like, A FSH who specializes in Rivers and Lakes, or a MIN who's focus is rare gems.

They kind of had that back in the old 1.0 days. You could put points in a certain thing like "Chain Weaving" for armorer. I forget if they actually had that kind of thing for gathering classes though. But they did away with it.

Gatherers could instead use specific stealth abilities depending on the species you had to get past. It was kind of a clunky feature, so it was done away with as well.

Wouldn't be cool if the requirements for a job like BST had the prereq of BOT thrown in? I think it would.

OMG I love that BTN outfit! I hit 50 the day before the save. Can't wait!![]()
Greetings!
We spoke to the development team about your suggestions for jobs and new abilities for Disciples of Hand and Land classes; unfortunately they do not have any plans to implement anything like this. However, they are planning on adding new content in which these classes can participate.
Also, as was already pointed out in this thread, there are plans in the works to release AF-like armor, so stay tuned.![]()

Now I'll never be able to equip my Soul of the Fisher jobstone...
