I wouldn't feel the satisfaction of being able to play a job at it's max level if I didn't work towards it. IMO the classes would have to change massively to be able to sustain radical changes within a job. Jobs are specialised in the sense that it reduces its dependence on the skills of other classes, it doesn't mean that multiple jobs from the same class would be able to specialise differently. Like I said, GLA is a tank class; that's what it is, no change to the 2nd job that comes off it will allow to be ANYTHING except a tank job.
