CON/WHM use Radicals and Wands.
THM/BLM use Sceptres and Staffs.

Unless you mean they both use 'magic sticks'?

Okies, 'magic sticks' - radicals/staffs & sceptres/wands
'books' - grimoires (which is what arcanists use) & (most likely) tomes, if you go by the FFXI SCH weapon name.

Different names, but they look the same, like the 1h and 2h WHM/BLM weapons.

Oh, by the way all of these are also from the dats:

The 1.0 Alpha client dats. Surely not relevant here?
