Are you trying to update using a new network, such as a college campus that blocks P2P traffic (i.e. torrents)?

Make sure that your network is open and that you have no firewall and A/V software running as they can really conflict with software. If that doesn't help it could be possible that they're doing maint on the servers? I've been re-installing almost daily for the past week and I haven't seen that as an issue... Try updating on a different network.

I bypass this by utorrent - full speed. Instant download.

But I wonder why client is so slow for me. I hope other will not have these problems (Ps3 users in future?).
