While I'm sure the dev team might get axed or shuffled to other projects, I doubt this would go so far as to take down the company. Square Enix does a lot more than video games, and has more intellectual properties to draw on.

I would have to disagree, Primals forbid it ever happens, but just because of 1 game? Doubtful. And I didn't see ver. 1.x as a fail and I might be blinded by the reasons others believe so too, but the only problem with 1.x to me was just the slow interface but the game was still playable, fun, and kept me coming back for more.
