Other MMO comparisons..

So what from you have "seen".. What comparisons can you draw up? There's too many "It was tooo WoW" comments. Even for things that aren't even in WoW. I'm tired of hearing WoW comparisons for things that WoW doesn't even have from people who never played WoW in the first place. Opinios?

Here's my opinion: Comparing a MMO that didn't even come out of early beta yet, and about which we're not supposed to talk, with MMOs that have already been released for months or even years is as good an idea as humping a cactus without wearing any underwear.

WoW sucks. But FFXIV should implement all the cool stuff WoW has.
The jumping and childish look in everything like gear and all that in WoW sucks.
That's why I left WoW. But FFXIV should have jumping and cool gear textures like WoW does.
But Lala's jumping so high and all these puffy weird looking moogle weapons make no sense.
FFXIV should be more like WoW, but without being like WoW, because WoW sucks.

Me i don't like game with too glowing gears ... Ifrit weapon is not so much glowing cos you can easely see the details on it ...but some game it's like christmass ...

The only MMO's you really need to worry about are ps3 ones: DC Universe online (which is ok), Defiance (also ok but gets boring fast), Freerealms..., PS home... the secret world (not released yet i think), The Agency (also not released probably not going to be eaither)

& i can tell you FFXIV ARR is better than all of them. well that is if you like RPG games, if you like shooter mmo's then defiance is your game.

I always thought WoW was a pretty good game myself. (shrug)

But anyway, on the subject, why is it that people want to compare a new MMO to a highly polished MMO that has been out for more than a decade? The stupid, it's... it's just too much. People who do that sort of thing should have their breeding privileges forever revoked.

I want FFXIV to be fun and interesting like FFXI. But right now its too different from FFXI.
Why would I want to play FFXIV if its different from FFXI? Then I would just play FFXI instead.

Hm, not sure if I want to say "contradict yourself", because I'm not sure if that would be the right term to use.

Erm, I guess what I'm wondering is, why would you want FFXIV to be a clone of FFXI when you can just go play FFXI instead? I mean, it sounds like you think that FFXIV being a re-skinned FFXI would make people more likely to play it instead of FFXI, when if they already have FFXI accounts, they can just play that.
