Idea: Add random elements for quest access.

While a great deal of ARR is refreshing based the released info, I still would like to see some alternate ways for players to gain access to unique quest chains, etc.

Much like logging off at your inn bed could randomly give you the chance to have a nightmare sequence.

Or the DoL treasure maps they have mentioned.

Anyways--

One example scenario i was considering:

You are out exploring, and it is nighttime. In the sky, you see a brief meteor shower, and witness one meteor break through the atmosphere, crashing into the ground in the distance.

You quickly mount up and race over to investigate. You notice other adventurers are scrambling to beat you there, but you have a head start.

When you arrive at the (temporary) crater, you notice a glimmer of light. You, being the first there, earn the right to salvage what is inside.

It is a cut and polished red aetherial jewel that looks to be from the former moon Dalamud. You have just activated a quest to investigate its purpose.

And I certainly hope there are housing quests, a la FFXI. Different furniture combinations trigger certain events.
