Gahoo and I were musing on that very symbolism after seeing them laid out that way. I figure that means the image is at least good enough for its purpose, lol. I rather liked how Nophica and Halone were bitter rivals, which to me represents how, in the ancient world, warfare ebb and flow was heavily tied into farming due to a nation's soldiers and farmers often being the same people, which also ties into Oschon (Wanderers and Vagrants) being a close companion of War, creator of all manners of both in veterans and survivors (beggars, mercenaries, deserters, etc.), and thus a heavy tie-in to life and death (Nald'thal).

As far as the connection to the Greeks goes, that's Eorzea for you.

When all else fails, look to Greek influence. Which reminds me - I came across a Wikipedia list that hadn't come up in my searches before that made me have a few, "AHA!" moments as far as analysis goes. Unlike pages like, The Twelve Olympians, or List of Greek Deities, this one has everything in one place - rather useful for trying to find connections. (List of Greek Mythological Figures)
